Why NirmaanSetu exists
NirmaanSetu began at the labour chowk. Every morning, millions of skilled workers — masons, electricians, carpenters — stand at street corners across India hoping today brings work, while a few kilometres away contractors and homeowners struggle to find exactly those hands. Two sides of the same market, unable to see each other.
Our founder saw this broken marketplace up close and asked a simple question: why does the workforce that builds India's homes, roads and cities still find work the way it did fifty years ago? The answer we are building is not just an app — it is dignity: a verified identity, a visible skill record, and wages agreed transparently, with tools designed to help them be paid fairly and on time.
Today NirmaanSetu is a platform that connects workers, contractors, employers and homeowners — verified profiles, skill matching and transparent payments — alongside Enterprise SaaS tools that help construction companies manage attendance, compliance and payroll. We are pre-launch, building in the open, and onboarding early members through our waitlist.
